Using Bing’s Link Explorer to help identify back-links

If you’re looking to get more detailed information on the back-links to your key pages, you may want to have a read of today’s tip from Vivek.

“For most people the default web analytics tool tends to be Google Analytics, but the other tools out there can offer some great additional features that GA doesn’t yet have.

I spend a lot of time analysing back-link data, and my go to tool is Bing’s Link Explorer. While GA will give you some very basic and high-level information, Bing LE will give you much more useful and detailed information.

Bing LE will provide you with more exact back-link data, including details on such things as anchor text – something GA currently doesn’t do. If you use Bing LE and GA together to gather and analyse data, you will get some great insights in to your back-link data, tracking of links, associated anchor text, and more granular detail on where the back-links have come from.”

If you’re looking to get more information and insights in to your back-links, sign up for Bing LE and let us know what you think of it. If you’d like any more information on this topic, please get in touch and we’ll be more than happy to try and help you out!
